Two weeks have passed since Oticon introduced the project topic followed by an introduction to IBM bluemix and IFTTT during the course and how this can be used to develop an IoT solution for the Oticon Opn hearing aid.
This also means now the research has begun in order to identify in what areas an IoT solution for hearing aids brings value for the client and thereby also the end-user.
In order to do so and as part of the research phase, a function-analysis tree has been established to clarify the overall system of the hearing aid and the possible solution spectre.
This can be useful in relation to the exploration of different areas (at home, on the go, active life, emergency situations, entertainment etc.) where and IoT solution may be come useful and create value for the user and relatives.
Getting an overview of both hardware- and software connections in the overall system is important to clarify to better understand how the different devices and how they can be combined in the solution(s).
More to come!
